The first crust with cheddar cheese got ruined and you know what? I CAN BARELY REACH THE SALT!!! It's IRRITATING HUMILIATING!

Brownies!

It really smells like brownies today! I made Chocolate cream pie. I'm gonna try it tomorrow.

Shoo Fly

Shoo Fly turned out great! Look at it! Molasses doesn't exactly smell good, and it tastes in a way like it smells, but it is SO much better to TASTE!

Heads Up!

So, we're going to make Shoo Fly pie next. Just happens on Season 2 Pushing Daisies, Frescorts (the episode I'm watching next) the character Olive says in a scene "OH! I'm a sucker for Shoo Fly!" so there ya go. What's Shoo Fly? You may ask? I'll explain it to you.
I don't know.
I'll find out tomorrow. Keeps lookin' for pictures.

New Pie Possibilities

So far I'm going to make pumpkin, apple, cherry, shoo fly or plum. Our contractor, Mo will provide the plums. It's almost Halloween so I know for sure I'm making pumpkin then. My goal was to make cherry eventually. Mum's favorite pies are pumpkin, shoo fly and marionberry pie.

Somehow the meringue slipped. The pie got all watery. NO IDEA HOW!!!

It was perfect yesterday! Now look!

Grandma-Red ribbon. Flavor, excellent, but "loose" pudding.

HOW DOES MERINGUE SHRINK??? I followed the directions, did it sit out too long?

Lemon Meringue Pie

Made Lemon Meringue pie today. Watched Pushing Daisies "Bad Habits" while making it. It it currently cooling down stairs. You add lemon peel to the pie? EEW! Well, it tasted good anyway. Egg whites are really frothy when you beat them, who knew? Not me. Still need to taste and rate it.
